TD supported Radio City 96.7 / Radio City’s Cash for Kids – Mission Christmas by registering as an Official Drop-Off point and accepting donations on their behalf.

The TD elves then loaded the vans and went on their way to deliver the gifts we had received to the Radio City 96.7 / Radio City’s Cash for Kids – Mission Christmas HQ.

Mission Christmas supported 33,000 children and distributed £1.1 million worth of cash and gifts across Liverpool, the North West and North Wales. “The results are absolutely amazing and thank you to everyone who has donated to this fantastic cause” – Darren Ames (Director)

The directors got the chance to thank Radio City’s Cash for Kids after being invited to the Radio City 96.7 Tower today for their Valentines Corporate Breakfast. “It was great to see the results of the fantastic work they do and their plans for 2020 and we’re proud to be part of it.”

TD were able to celebrate at the NEC, Birmingham in October as we were listed as one of the ‘Top 5’ Best Construction Suppliers in 2019. UK Construction Week held the inaugural UKCW Construction Awards at the NEC Main Stage on Tuesday 8th October, the details can be seen here.

The directors of TD were extremely happy with the ‘Top 5’ finish despite not quite winning the award this year. This is because it shows our ongoing commitment to be known throughout the industry as an organisation that provides all our clients with high quality services designed to meet their specific requirements and at all times striving to exceed their expectations.

Our staff are vital in helping us to achieve our company objective of being renowned for being able to provide our clients with what they want, right first time by working in a partnership with them. We aim to do this by providing a tailored service to suit our clients requirements and we differ from other firms in that, as well as carrying out routine testing, we also offer a full ‘Materials Engineering’ service assisting with sourcing materials, developing specifications, etc.” stated the directors on the day of the awards.

As sponsors of St. Helens R.F.C it was great to watch them beat Salford Red Devils (23 – 6) in the 2019 Super League Grand Final, finishing an excellent twelve months were they finished 1st in the regular season. The win was great for the town and will help inspire the grassroots teams within the community who will no doubt provide the next generation of players for the team.

We are delighted to announce that following our recent UKAS assessment which spanned across a number of days we have successfully transitioned to BS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017. A huge thanks to our staff for all their effort and hard work, in particular our Quality Manager, Liz Gaskell, who has done a fantastic job with the transition process.

Despite challenging conditions in the Construction Industry which have been well documented and seen both SME’s and Giants in the industry fail, TD is moving forward. In a time were many companies are delaying investment, our glowing reputation amongst contractors and subcontractors has allowed us to look at expanding our capabilities further. We are a proud supporter of Mates in Mind, a registered charity operating in the UK who aim to raise awareness, address the stigma of poor mental health and improve positive mental wellbeing in the UK.

Mates in Mind has an ambitious goal – to reach 100,000 workers in the first year, and by 2025, they aim to have reached 75% of the construction industry. We are now 5 years old! We have come along way since starting up back in 2013 and are extremely proud to be in the position we are today. We continue to improve and have continuously grown in size, clients, projects and capability and are now a popular name in the industry. We have extended our scope of accredited testing a number of times, worked on multiple award winning contracts, been recognised by various organisations for the way we operate and have truly cemented our position as a leading laboratory in the North West. We had a great night at the Construction Enquirer Awards as part of UK Construction Week. We were originally happy just to be nominated but then after a public vote amongst construction professionals we were selected as finalists and came to the awards ceremony with a chance to win. Whilst we did not win our category – Best Supplier to Work With (Under £25m) we were extremely pleased to have been awarded a position in the ‘TOP 10’ and would like to thank all our clients within the Construction and Civil Engineering Industries. Darren Ames (Director) said “It is a very proud moment having the work we do acknowledged. We do actively cooperate with our customers in all stages of a project and whilst we do get feedback crediting our technical support, flexibility and expediting of results, it is great to be recognised on a national level”.
