NEW YEAR, NEW VAN, NEW LIVERY

A new year is usually a time for resolutions and at TD ours was to redesign our vehicle livery creating a more modern and easily identifiable brand.

This new van marks the first with the new design but as the fleet is renewed, we will slowly transition to the whole fleet being a showcase of the redesigned livery. We have kept our corporate colours and further expanded these, added our social media due to the exponential growth experienced across all platforms and emblazoned our company motto on the van to show clients what we are about!

If you see a green TD machine out and about, please feel free to look us up and enquire about our services.

TREBLE WINNING SAINTS

Another year, another win, another trophy – that’s the treble! Super League Champions, 2019, 2020 & 2021. Accompanying that was a Challenge Cup Win as well as the Women’s side doing the double winning both the Super League and Challenge Cup this year.

Saints were reigning and defending champions and this win equals a record 13th time in the Super League Grand Final. This treble winning team is setting its own tradition of breaking records and winning trophies. A great example of what dedication and hard work can achieve with a team all pushing to one goal.

TD AWARD WIN DEMONSTRATES SUCCESS

At the St Helens Borough Business Awards, TD were yet again shortlisted for Small Business of the Year. In addition to that, our continued focus to developing our workforce and providing opportunities locally lead to two apprentices being in the final shortlist for Apprentice of the Year. Our very own Courtney Hodgkinson won the award, with her colleague Sean Allen receiving a highly commended award. A big congratulations to all the winners and although we may be biased, our favourite winners were Courtney and Sean.

CONTINUED FOCUS ON COMPLIANCE

It is our policy to provide good quality materials testing for all our clients by conducting our business to the highest
standards in respect of Quality, Health & Safety and the Environment. Clients put these principles at the forefront of what they do and as suppliers we continue to put our focus on compliance supporting the delivery of their projects. This new certificate of accreditation, CHAS is the latest in a long line that validates our regulatory compliance for Health, Safety and the Environment.

UKAS REASSESSMENT RESULT

This year’s UKAS visit consisted of a full reassessment alongside an extension to scope, we have maintained our accreditation and been awarded the extension. A great result for us and as always a big thank you to the whole of our TD team and the top work they do! It is this hard work that contributes to our continued growth and success.

FC ST. HELENS FOR THE WIN!

‪Congratulations to FC St Helens on tonight’s 2-0 win in the Lancashire Football Association Amateur Shield final. Company Director Darren Ames said: “Thoroughly deserved and a great reward for everyone who has worked so hard to develop the club!”

TD embarked on a strategic partnership with FC St Helens back in 2018 becoming the1st Team & Reserve Team shirt sponsors.

INVESTMENT PAYING OFF

In 2020, Covid created uncertainty and put many organisations out of business and increased risk on those that continued to operate. The pandemic was stressful for everyone but for TD careful planning, dedicated management and leadership from staff helped ensure we got through relatively unscathed. This placed us in a healthy position to continue investing in the company and towards the back end of the year we received delivery of our Large Shear Box, we then achieved UKAS accreditation for it in May 2021.

We decided to bring this testing in-house after previously subcontracting the test in order to provide better turnaround times to our clients. We always strive to exceed our clients expectations and by doing this we can ensure quality in construction. The Shear Box is fully operational, with a large forward order book beginning to build so please feel free to contact us for any of your testing requirements.

A HELPING HAND FOR SANTA

2020 has changed everything. As families unexpectedly face poverty, more and more children could be waking up on Christmas Day without anything under the tree. 1 in 3 children are living in poverty, by giving a little you’ll be helping a lot.

TD have a proud tradition of supporting Cash for Kids Mission Christmas! We have been matching funds raised from staff and other donations to do our bit in supporting our community. We register our premises as a drop off point to, helping others contribute to this worthy cause.

SAINTS BACK TO BACK CHAMPIONS

St Helens RFC demonstrated a great defensive performance against Wigan and in doing so Won 8 – 4 and became Super League Champions again. What a dramatic finale, such an incredible finish by Jack Welsby! This has been a game of the highest quality with the highest intensity, a fitting end to the season.

It is great to see the club, a stalwart of the community being so successful on the pitch which ultimately benefits our local area. The whole community is behind them and cannot wait for the celebrations.
