Accreditations

UKAS is the sole national accreditation body for the United Kingdom. UKAS is recognised by government, to assess against internationally agreed standards, organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services. Accreditation by UKAS demonstrates the competence, impartiality and performance capability of these evaluators. In short, UKAS ‘checks the checkers’.

Mates in Mind was established by the Health in Construction Leadership Group (HCLG) with the support of the British Safety Council in September 2016. Mates in Mind is a registered charity and they aim to raise awareness, address the stigma of poor mental health and promote positive mental well being in construction and related industries across the UK.

The CFA Approved Tester Scheme is intended to provide specifiers, contractors and site engineers with a network of companies throughout the UK who are capable of testing the majority of construction fixings, and in some cases certain specialist anchor systems, to a high standard and with a knowledge of how fixings work.

Supported by the HSE SSIP aims to streamline pre-qualification and encourage straightforward mutual recognition between its Member Schemes. All assessments completed by SSIP Member Schemes are completed utilising the SSIP Core Criteria which is aligned to the Government-backed construction pre-qualification document PAS 91, ensuring consistency within supply chain management.

St Helens Chamber is a unique organisation and one of the most successful of its kind in the country. St Helens Chamber are also one of the largest Chambers in the UK and have more members for their size than any other Chamber in the country.

We have been a committed member of St Helens Chamber since our inception in 2013. 

In 2017 we were awarded a certificate in recognition of our commitment to developing our staff.

In 2020 at the St Helens Business Borough Awards, a collaboration between St Helens Chamber and St Helens Borough Council we were Highly Commended in both the Small Business of the Year and High Growth Business of the Year categories.

In 2021 at the St Helens Business Borough Awards one of our apprentices won the Apprentice of the Year Award.
