TD GAINS GRANT TO GO GREEN
St Helens Council opened a grant fund called the Climate Emergency Response Fund which TD successfully applied to. Our proposal was to install 42 Solar Panels at our premises in St Helens with a view to reduce our carbon emissions, generate renewable energy and advertise the importance of tackling climate change.
We achieved our targets, increasing our sustainability, reducing our carbon footprint and a successful social media campaign that resulted in very good levels of engagement from residents.
The board of directors have agreed our ambition must match that of our local authority and we to aim to be NET Zero by 2040.
We are looking to build on the success of this project by investigating, investing and implementing other measures. This will
form part of our Carbon Reduction Plan that will continue to help reduce our carbon footprint.
Thank you to St. Helens Borough Council for their support in our project.
